All in-house training courses are taught by certified instructors with many years of training and experience. All costs of mandatory courses are covered by Millennium Security; this ensures that all customers will receive the highest calibre of personnel. Listed below are areas covered in the courses.
STANDARD FIRST AID and CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCTATION
This course ensures that Millennium Security staff are able to provide First Aid and CPR if necessary. The course is taught by a certified instructor. The instructor’s qualifications are available upon request. The time committed to this course is sixteen to eighteen hours in total. Listed below are many of the areas covered.

LAWS AND POWER OF ARREST
This course is mandatory for all Millennium Security staff to ensure that our personnel are trained in all aspects of the law when it comes to protecting our clients, their property and interests. This course is taught by a veteran of a police service with many years of experience and education. The Instructor’s Qualification are available upon request. The minimal time that is committed to the course is three to five hours. This course if offered several times a year (or as needed) to ensure all staff are up to date on any changes or practices.

HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACT OF ONTARIO (HTA)
All areas regarding enforcement of this act that pertain to Millennium Security personnel fulfilling their duties.
TRESPASS TO PROPERTY ACT (TPA)

This act is covered in the training of Millennium Security personnel to ensure the safety of the community. It also covers what our staff’s legal rights and obligations are when it comes to these matters.
PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR AND SECURITY GUARDS ACT
All personnel are updated immediately when any amendments are made to this act. All Millennium Security personnel are trained on what their responsibilities and duties under this act.
NOTE TAKING AND REPORT WRITING
All Millennium Security personnel are given instruction on proper note taking and report writing. This ensures that the client is receiving all the information that is pertinent to their location at all times.
ON- SITE TRAINING
All Millennium Security employees are given on-site training by a member of the management team or supervisor before they perform any shifts on their own. This training includes going through site policies and procedures both written and practical.
PERSONNEL SAFETY TRAINING
The goal of this course is to train and refresh personnel on the key areas of safety principles when interacting with members of the public in various manners. This course will build upon practicing and reviewing drills to reinforce the key learning points. This course is instructed by a certified instructor with many years experience in various forms of personal safety and Use of Force in the law enforcement industry. The instructor’s qualifications are available upon request. The time committed to this course is 8-10 hours in total. This course offered several times per year. Listed below are some of the key areas covered in this course.
LEGAL ISSUES
Sections 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, 37, and 38 of the Criminal Code of Canada which deal with the limitations and authorities regarding personal use of force and personal defence.
