STATIONARY GUARDS/OFFICERS
Uniformed Security Guards:
- Protect people, assets and/or property,
- Observe and Reports incidents or offences,
- Provide alarm response,
- Deter illegal and/or inappropriate actions, incidents.
Some main duties for a security guard involve:
- Observing, through patrolling for disorder, fire or crime ,
- Patrol assigned areas, on foot or in vehicles, to guard against theft, shoplifting, vandalism and fire,
- Ensure that establishment safety and emergency procedures are followed, and respond to fire alarms, bomb threats and other emergencies,
- Follow radio and emergency telephone procedures.
Guards and officers can remain on site and patrol or observe as required by the client. The duties performed will be tailored to the needs of the client, event and site to be protected. Working in partnership with the client, guards and officers will work to promote good community relations and prevent property loss and damage.
